The Jesuit: Paul Schrader to direct

  • Paul Schrader will direct "The Jesuit", a drama about a man nicknamed "the Jesuit," who is imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. When his wife is murdered and his son kidnapped and taken to Mexico, he devises an elaborate and dangerous plan to rescue his son and avenge the murder.

  • Paz Vega has signed on to star.

  • Willem Dafoe, Oscar Isaac and Michelle Rodriguez are in final talks.

  • Open Window Productions is developing the project and Film Bridge International is presenting the project at Cannes.
