Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine are Harry and the Butler
Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine have signed on to star in "Harry and the Butler". Loosely based on the 1962 Danish film, the story follows a derelict rollercoaster mechanic and one-time jazz virtuoso, who lives in a converted train caboose in New Orleans. When he inherits a large sum of money, he decides during a drunken celebration to hire a down-on-his-luck British butler.
George C. Wolfe (director of "Nights in Rodanthe" and several acclaimed stage productions) is set to direct from a screenplay by Damian F. Slattery.
Spirit Films and Playground Entertainment are producing the project, which is in pre-production and is set to start filming next Spring.
