The Company You Keep: Redford and LaBeouf to star Tue July 19, 2011 Return to Film News Robert Redford and Shia LaBeouf ("Transformers") have signed on to star in "The Company you Keep", a political action thriller that Redford will direct. Lem Dobbs ("Haywire") has written the screenplay based on the novel by Neil Gordon. The story follows a former Weather Underground militant wanted by the FBI for 30 years who must go on the run when a young, ambitious reporter exposes his true identity. Redford will play the activist, while LaBeouf will portray the budding journalist who's determined to make a name for himself. Filming is set to start in September in Vancouver.
