- Paul W.S. Anderson has signed on to direct "Pompeii", a historical action-adventure that will recount the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius and the destruction of the ancient Roman city.
- Summit Entertainment will distribute in the U.S.
- Lee Batchler and Janet Scott Batchler have written the screenplay that is anchored by a strong love story.
- Filming is currently set to start in Spring 2012.
