The Town: Ben Affleck to write, direct and star Mon September 15, 2008 Return to Film News Variety reports that Ben Affleck will direct and star in The Town, an adaptation of the Chuck Hogan novel "The Prince of Thieves." Affleck replaces Adrian Lyne, who was previously attached to direct the film about a career thief who falls in love with the manager of a bank. He will also rewrite the most recent draft of the script by Peter Craig and Chuck Hogan. Brad Pitt was considering the lead role last year. Source: Variety Related Titles: The Town
