Creation: Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly to star Thu September 4, 2008 Return to Film News Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly will star as Charles and Emma Darwin in director Jon Amiel's Creation. The film is described as part ghost story, part psychological thriller and part love story. "Creation" will follow Darwin as a young man, who crushed by the loss of his eldest daughter, conceives a book which will prove the non-existence of God. John Colley has written the script, based on the book "Annie's Box," written by Darwin's great-great-grandson Randal Keynes. Jeremy Northam, Toby Jones and Benedict Cumberbatch have also joined the cast. Filming begins Sept. 28 in locatioins such as Darwins' home, Down House, in what was then the Kent village of Bromley. The film's release is scheduled for 2009, the bicentenary of Darwin's birth. Source: Variety Related Titles: Creation
