Winnetou   film news & developments Winnetou: Michael Blake to write Michael Blake ("Dances with Wolves") has signed on to write the adaptation of "Winnetou", for Constantin Film. Based on Karl May's popular German classic novel, the story follows the adventures of Charlie, a young German man, who heads west and makes friends with the Apache hero Winnetou. The English-language production is set to start filming next year.
