Joel Kinnaman (TV's "The Killing") has joined the cast of "Lola Versus" and will replace Orlando Bloom who recently dropped out of the project. The story follows a woman who is dumped just weeks before her wedding and embarks on a series of encounters ranging from the horrible to the embarrassing to the enlightening as she navigates life as a single woman.
Kinnaman is set to play the tattooed artist that breaks off the wedding to Lola and breaks her heart.
Hamish Linklaterhas also joined the cast and will play Lola's male best friend, a cute menschy musician who's always had a crush on her.
Greta Gerwig and Orlando Bloom are set to star in the romantic comedy "Lola Versus", that is to be directed by Daryl Wein for Fox Searchlight. The story follows a woman who is dumped just weeks before her wedding by her college sweetheart, prompting her to embark on a series of encounters in an attempt to discover her place in the world as a single woman before she turns 30.
Filming is scheduled to start in June in New York.
