Rampart: Five more join the cast

  • Steve Buscemi, Anne Heche, Cynthia Nixon, Sigourney Weaver and Robin Wright have joined the cast of crime thriller "Rampart", that Oren Moverman is directing with Woody Harrelson in the lead.

  • Amalgam Features will provide financing for the film.

  • Production is scheduled to start in October in Los Angeles.

Rampart: Woody Harrelson, Ben Foster and Ice Cube will star

  • Woody Harrelson, Ben Foster and Ice Cube will star in the drama "Rampart".

  • Harrelson is set to play the lead character, an LAPD officer on a redemptive journey as he finds himself embroiled in scandal.

  • Cube will play a homicide detective sent to investigate Harrelson's character.

  • Foster will play another LAPD officer.

  • Filming is set to begin late August in Los Angeles.


Rampart: Oren Moverman to direct

  • Oren Moverman ("The Messenger") is set to direct the police corruption drama "Rampart" for Lightstream Pictures.

  • Moverman will also write the script.

  • The story will focus on the widespread corruption in the anti-gang unit of the Los Angeles Police Department's Rampart Division in the late 1990s.
