About the film: A young king -- father of Queen Elizabeth II -- reluctantly assumes the throne after his brother, Edward, abdicates.
Considered unfit to rule and cursed with a nervous stammer, the unprepared monarch turns to an unorthodox speech therapist, Lionel Logue. The two men form an unlikely friendship as King George finds his voice and leads the country into war against the Germans.
Rated R for some language.

Having 3 wonderful actors in this film, i was disappointed to learn of only a limited release. Will this be released nationwide by Jan 21 as speculated? This is a must for us to see...

Subject: Where is the movie showing?
Sir,
I have been anticipating this movie since June. My Father-in Law is writing a curriculum on stuttering for UCLA. He was once a very severe stutterer, and was cured. We are very much interested in seeing your movie. Also, if it suits your interest, I could arrange for you to meet my Father-in Law, who is an amazingly accomplished man, and even went on professional speaking circuits with Paul Harvey, Zig Zigler, etc. Quite a feat for a former stutterer!
Sincerely,
Paula Snarr

I agree with Lena in LA - I would love to see this movie but can find no mention of it anywhere. Has it disappeared already? It is time to release it to a wider audience.

Subject: Limited Release
Come on Mr. Weinstein and Co. You are going to lose the word of mouth momentum on this movie. Time to end the limited release and make it more accessible to all. The LA theaters have been almost sold out via internet sales on the week-ends. Very discouraging for anyone who must drive a distance to your very select theaters.

With all of the glowing press for this anicipated film, there is no information whatsoever on when we can expect to see it here in the SF Bay Area? I understand the Oscar positioning , NYC/LA and "buzz" factors, but methinks this film has ample audience to insure success now! We're hungry for adult entertainment over the holidays!

I am so looking forward to seeing this film. Unfortunately we have to wait until January here in the UK. I hope it will have a better release than A Single Man had last year as it was never shown at my local cinemas.
People I know in Canada and the US have given glowing reports after seeing this film in Toronto.
